Our Mission
Behavior Analysis & Technology, Inc. is expanding our understanding of the fundamental nature of visual attention in children and in adults with developmental disabilities, and it is applying these findings to develop innovative technologies for detecting and diminishing attentional deficits. It is also striving to improve the education and clinical treatment provided to children and adults with behavioral disturbances or developmental disabilities. BA&T is working to give individuals with behavioral disturbances, attentional disturbances, and special needs a greater opportunity to pursue their maximum level of development.
What We Do
Visual Attention Research. BA&T has an ongoing behavioral research program, primarily focused in the area of visual attention. The research has led to fundamental discoveries about the nature of visual attention in both young children and individuals with developmental disabilities. We publish our findings in either the open literature or in the electronic Behavior Analysis & Technology Monographs, and we make them freely available by either reprint or download. Technology Development. Closely associated with the visual attention research is a technology development program. The research has involved pioneering work with touch-screen technology, development of a sensitive multiple-assessment measurement technique, and comparative work with students with developmental disabilities and students of typical development. The company develops software based on its findings for assessing and remediating attentional deficits in both young children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Attentional Skills Assessment. BA&T utilizes its innovative technologies to provide effective and sensitive attentional skills assessments. You can now have the attentional skills of your young child assessed under the supervision of our Psychologist.
Behavioral Services. BA&T also provides behavioral services for individuals with behavioral disturbances or special needs. This includes behavioral consulting, behavioral assessments, and in-service training to schools, community programs, and families.
